As I began filling out the survey given to me after recent repairs to my computer, I realized that a survey is insufficient to capture my repeated experience with the staff at BJCS.

I confess I'm not very computer-literate, so the problems I have periodically with my computer always loom larger than they might for someone who knows more about the technology. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am, therefore, to have "found" BJCS and its wonderful, wonderful staff.

Over the course of two or three years, I've worked with several staff members – most often Fred, Jim, Chris, and Shawnna. Their customer service is the best. If you have an email address, you've probably received an email directing you to a well-known website where you were asked to update your personal information. Once you click the link, you're asked to confirm or update your password, update credit card information, or even provide your Social Security or bank account number.

These sites can be very tricky, even using the official logos, colors, and language from popular websites they're trying to mimic. The elaborate scheme is an attempt to steal your personal information. The popular term for this type of scheme is called "phishing."

Phishing (pronounced as "fishing") is generally accepted to be the act of sending an email to a recipient falsely claiming to have legitimate business with the recipient. The intention of the phisher is to trick the recipient into surrendering their private information, and stealing their identity.

So don't take the bait... Never provide your personal information online, unless YOU initiate the transaction and it is on a SECURE, legitimate website.
