Ann Ford of Bull Shoals and Bertha Whitesell of Mountain Home
are winners of the Happy Holidays Promotion, sponsored by
local merchants in cooperation with Brooks-Jeffrey Marketing
and Brooks-Jeffrey Computer Store.
Mrs. Ford won $500 in gift certificates from
area merchants after registering at Nostalgia, 400 Hwy. 62
East. Mrs. Whitesell, who registered at Dian’s in Town
East Centre, won a new Dell computer. On Dec. 15, a winning
ticket was drawn from each of the registration boxes from
47 participating businesses. From those, the two winning tickets
were drawn. Registration slips were also available in a Holiday
Offers and Gift Ideas coupon book mailed to 24,000 households
in Baxter and Marion Counties in November.
Mrs. Ford said she was "very surprised" to
be a winner and is looking forward to using her gift certificates.
Her only shopping since moving here in June, she said, has
been to decorate their new home. She and her husband, Reggie,
are relocating from Port Charlotte, Fla. "Hurricane Charley
came very close to us, so we headed back this way," she said.
They are originally from the Tulsa area.
Mrs. Whitesell said being the winner of the
new Dell computer is "very special" to her. She is a computer
user with 20 years of work experience in data entry while
she resided in Virginia. Mrs. Whitesell was born in Calico
Rock and returned to the area two years ago with her husband,
Jim.
