Technicians
at Brooks-Jeffrey Computer Store recently received training
on new computer network testing equipment. Here, Brian Lane
(center), store manager and commercial technician, instructs
technicians (from left) Fred Tenny, Marc Frentz, Amber Hallmark,
and Bill Melbourne on equipment from Fluke Networks. Lane
said when technicians work on existing networks and lines
in homes and offices, they can now test a network line more
quickly as to length, wire map, and signal quality for speeds
up to 1,000 Mb. “We gladly work on any existing network. This
new equipment allows us to also determine actual maximum line
speed so customers can know that upgrades to faster LANs will
be advised only when necessary,” said Lane. Brooks-Jeffrey
Computer Store is open 8-5:30 weekdays and 9-3 Saturdays at
19 Medical Plaza, Mountain Home. Call 870-425-8064 or 800-506-8064.
